Nereida has been our model for years and sometimes she looks young in my paintings and sometimes older, but always interesting, I think. This started off as a black and white value painting on a reddish ground and I added the blue in the background at the last minute. At least her ears are the right size. I sometimes wonder what she is thinking about when she is posing. She sometimes gets a far-away look.
